Hoping to be the next governor of Georgia, Republican Karen Handel of Roswell addressed the supporters that turned out to Westin Atlanta North Hotel in Sandy Springs and gave her their vote earlier today. Making her way through the crowd, she chatted and talked to the voters and later in the evening spoke with District 6 U.S. Rep. Tom Price, R-Roswell, who visited the crowd via the Internet. As of 11 p.m. today, Ms. Handel leads her GOP opponents with 34.0 percent of the statewide vote. She will be in a runoff, likely with Nathan Deal, who had 23.1 percent of the vote, with 88 percent of today's ballots cast.
